I realize we don’t discuss racism with beginning readers; unless we ourselves are flaming racists parents, that is. I hate racism, which is the conviction that one “race” is superior to all others. Suspiciously, holders of this belief always choose their OWN race as the superior one. You never heard a racist claim that some other race is superior to their own and you never will.
The Black Lives Matter protests were a legitimate, spontaneous outrage over the ‘cultural norm’ of murdering black folk by police who are then shielded from the consequences. They have been immune to prosecution for murder; so the practice continues. Like all protests, within a few days the spontaneous, legitimate purpose is lost when other groups arrive seeking to advance their own agendas.
The need is to reform police procedures so justice is equal. Jefferson said we are endowed by our Creator with the right to LIFE… Let’s get down to where the rubber meets the road here.
