Self-Portrait of the Artist in Her Studio

How is your week going? Good, I hope.

So have you figured out what to do with your life? I’m still working on it. And I’m still working on a format for animations, which I’m not very good at. I started one as an intro to a video of me in my studio and it turned into a self-portrait, which I have never done before.

Lots of artists have done self-portraits. I always thought it was because they were broke (a common affliction of artists) and couldn’t afford a model. Most of them are more…artistic than mine, more moody and…deeply significant.

Mine is rather…loony, but then so am I. (I actually did write “Make a to-do list” on my To Do list once.) The paintings on the wall are some of the many I have stacked up all over the room. Every now and then I go through them and throw some in the trash. That’s the extent of my house cleaning.

Full disclosure: My hair is even messier in real life. I have made a truce with my hair: You don’t bother me and I won’t bother you.
