Having way too much fun

Are you working today? And if not, what kind of Amurcan are you? 🙂

I am having way too much fun today, so I set myself a time limit on fun and just exceeded it by an hour and 30 minutes. You see, I have this passion for fractals, the Thumbprint of God, but as I have previously mentioned, I can’t do math to save my life and fractals are math-based.

I felt like the kid who wasn’t tall enough to go on the wild ride.

But good Lord, don’t you love technology? Because I found a fractal drawing program and got so excited, I thought, “You’re doomed. You’re going to goof around with this for the rest of your life.” It’s a free, smallish program, Apophysis,  and I recommend it to you if you’re an arty type. Why should I be the only one doomed?

I had to get a couple tutorials on Youtube to work it (don’t you LOVE techology?) I made one random thingy and thought, “Waves in a Headwind” so I saved it and took it into Photoshop and painted for an hour and a half and made “Waves in a Headwind.”

Does it look like waves in a headwind? Not exactly, but to me it feels like waves in a headwind and that’s good enough. I hope you have some fun today, and if you set yourself a fun-limit, I hope you exceed it and feel nary a twinge of guilt.
