Jews and Arabs Refuse to be Enemies

I want BOTH these kids to be safe, don't you?

Two days ago I saw a little news blurb about a priest in Palestine who told his Muslim neighbors that “If your mosque is blown up, use our church for your prayers.” This made me smile, this sounds like a real Christian.

Today the hashtag #JewsAndArabsRefuseToBeEnemies has gone viral with photos of Jews and Arabs…refusing to be enemies. Brilliant! What if we all just refused to be enemies!! It reminds me of a protest slogan from the Vietnam era: “What if they gave a war and nobody came?”

It would be the end of war! How revolutionary is that? It would turn the world upside down. Oh, the war profiteers would try even harder to stir up hatred, maybe do some false flags, like blow up a building and blaming it on the designated enemy. But we are even catching on to false flags now. The lies may be over run by the truth. And this makes me smile, too.

Maybe we could finally try what Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good to them.” Maybe Jesus had the right idea all along? Maybe love is the strongest force in the universe.

Some of these photos will make the haters poop a brick sideways, but too bad.

BTW-I try to behave myself in this blog because I think you need a break from the stress of the world and on Facebook I’m an angel because my family asked me to behave, but Twitter? It’s “Don’t make me angry, you won’t like me when I’m angry.” @jeczaja
