I wonder what you do when you don’t know what to do, when you feel like getting on your horse and riding off in all directions at once?
Some people just do what they have always done: “I always take the right-hand road, it’s “right!” Some people stop and think, weighing their options before choosing their path. The right-going guy says they aren’t doing anything at all and they should get off their arse and get on with it.
I once asked my genius son for advice. He asked questions, wrote the answers down in some kind of charts related to computer programming or something, then told me I had “too many variables.” As you can see, he cannot help me, though I suspect he knows what he’s talking about, even if I do not.
I mostly want to be helpful, but what do people really need these days? Do they need the truth, which hurts and makes you mad before it sets you free? or are people these days hurt and mad enough and really need to laugh and be encouraged?
I want to be nice, but I have a wicked gift of sarcasm, which isn’t at all nice. I want to be a good Christian-but where does all that fury come from when I read about war crimes? I want to rant and call thunderbolts out of the sky to strike the oppressors of mankind–and by the way, did you notice how beautiful those raindrops are on that leaf?
“What do you do when you don’t know what to do?” she asked the Tribe. 🙂
I…..”ponder”.
Me too. Only I ponder out loud. 🙂
