Racism-the deadly tribal hangover that still afflicts us

Racism was behind the rise of genocidal fascism in Japan and Germany and the deaths of 60 million human beings in WWII; 2.5 percent of the population of the entire world. Racism was behind the hideous genocide in Rwanda in 1994 in which 800,000 were slaughtered in three months, wiping out 20 percent of the nation’s population and 70 percent of the Tutsi.

Racism is the belief that one’s race is superior to all other races. This is often based on a divine origin myth. Germans were descended from the Atlantean Aryans and were only having trouble because of deception by and inbreeding with lesser mortals. The Japanese believed they were descended from the sun goddess, Amaterasu. The Chinese were not and therefore could be trampled underfoot.

Racism is not the same as prejudice. Prejudice is just the human tendency to judge by appearance-to pre-judge, to judge before. Before what? Before you have much information beyond appearance. Racism is a hard-wired, all-encompassing, institutionalized belief in one’s own racial superiority and it is demonically destructive both to “lesser” races and in the end, to the racists themselves. If you doubt that, look at photos of Japan and Germany immediately after WWII.

So racism should be called out and shouted down whenever it rears its satanic head-for humanity’s sake. And for our own sake.

Question: Are these concepts from a religious text racist?

“Thou shalt not kill” means that you should not kill those of your own race. You may kill those not of your race and in times of war, you should kill women and children.

  • “Thou shalt not steal” means you should not steal from your own race. You may steal from others.
  • “Thou shalt not commit adultery” applies within your race. Heathen don’t have such a thing as real marriage so sex with one of their “wives” does not count.
  • If you rape a woman from the other group, this is bad. You might be flogged. She, however, must be put to death.

What do you think? Is this hard-wired, all-encompassing, institutionalized belief in one’s own racial superiority? These teachings are from the Jewish Talmud and explain why the “Palestinian problem” is not going to be solved by any rational “peace talks.” As decent human beings, we should call this out and shout it down-for the sake of the Palestinian people and ultimately for the sake of the racists themselves, who are also people after all.
