My students in “Fine Arts for Adults Who Want Their Crayons Back” class are feeling adventurous, so they want to try watercolors.
I chose this fish for our subject, since it requires a lot of different techniques.
This is the sample I made, so I could break down the steps, like I always do. They go home with a painting they are proud to hang on their wall. They have no other art training and don’t seem to need any. We just do it together and have quite a lot of fun.
The good news is: This will work for the class. The bad news is: I still absent-mindedly put my brush in my coffee cup instead of in the water.
Still crazy after all these years. 🙂
