“You Don’t Know Jack” is taking longer than I thought

Chuck Woody doesn't know Jack.
Chuck Woody doesn’t
know Jack.

I know that a lot of you are writers and that lots of people have told you that you are talented. In your case, it’s probably true.

But when people tell me that, I think of so many people who are more talented; people who just seem to produce great stuff with little effort. Do you know people like that?

I have a daughter who can walk into a house, go all kind of dreamy and tell you how to decorate it-colors, furniture, accessories-all very unusual and original-and gorgeous.

I started on “You Don’t Know Jack” a week ago. I thought, “How long can it take to finish a 26-page beginning reader?” Even if it is about the philosophical question “How do we know anything?” Not long I decided, maybe two days? It’s been a week of hard work and I’m not finished yet.

I like Chuck Woody, though.

I tip my hat to all you talented people out there. For the rest of us, it’s back to the drawing board. 🙂
