Criticial Thinking for Beginning Readers

My daughter Autumn sent me a list of about 50 words and challenged me to write a book for beginning readers. I scanned the list and at first it didn’t look too promising, then my own rather naughty inner child kicked in and voila-not one, but two books: cute, funny and just a tad snarky.

A first grader read aloud to me “A Bunny is a Bunny” and gave me the best review I ever got in my life; the best because I know little kids tell the truth about such things. “That’s a really good book, actually!” she said, smiling brightly as she closed the cover.

Critical thinking for little kids. Heck yeah.

Buy these books; if you don’t have any little kids, donate them to your local school. Together we will overcome! 🙂
